Hedgerow Ritual Tea
This old world brew of hedge-dwelling herbs has been witchcrafted from jasmine blossoms, nettle, lemon balm, rose hips, hops, mugwort, hawthorne berries, butterfly pea flowers, and dried apple peel for penetrating the liminal boundary between this world and the next.
Many of the ingredients I have harvested and dried from my own forest line…the hops that wind around my snowberries, the wild roses that give way to tart rose hips come Autumn, the crab apples that welcome us to the well-worn fox path, and the lemon balm that edges the path into the woods.
Medicinally, this blend is high in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants and is especially useful for anti-inflammatory and tonic purposes.
Steep 1-2 teaspoons in boiling water and allow to infuse for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain and sip, stirring in raw, local honey if you like. This tea may be used for tea leaf reading; simply remove the berries after drinking down to 1 tablespoon, swirl the cup 3 times clockwise, invert and dry for 3 minutes, and then read the symbols from the handle down and around to the bottom of the cup to move from present to distant future.
Sold as curio item only. Please consult your physician before use and beware of any interactions or side effects.
